Control room versus imaging room, and why there is more than one
The imaging room is the space with the scanner bed, where the patient lies down. The control room is a separate booth behind it, where the Radiologist operates the machine and reads the scan once it finishes. They sit next to each other but are two different rooms, and standing in the imaging room alone will not let you run the scanner.
Because Maple Hospital gives every major scanner its own booth, there is not a single control room. There is an X-Ray Control Room, a CT Control Room, and an MRI Control Room, each tucked behind its matching imaging room in the Radiology wing. That is also why the search term shows up as control rooms, plural, in TikTok tutorials rather than a single named location.
Two rooms, one wing
Each scanner has its own booth, all clustered in the same Radiology wing.
Radiologist operates them
Level 30 unlock. Doctors send patients here, but the Radiologist runs the booth.
Ultrasound is the exception
No hidden booth. The controls sit on the machine itself, at the bedside.
Step-by-step directions to the Radiology wing
All three hidden control rooms sit inside the same wing, so once you find one, the other two are close by.
- 1
Start from the Main Floor lobby
Most players spawn here. You do not need the elevator for this trip; the Radiology wing is on the same floor.
- 2
Enter through Emergency Room / Radiology
Look for the double doors labelled Emergency Room and Radiology near the lobby, then follow the signs deeper into the wing toward MRI and X-Ray.
- 3
Pick an imaging room, then look for a second door behind it
Each imaging room (X-Ray, CT, MRI) has a second door or a windowed booth adjacent to it. That is the control room. If you only see one room with no adjoining booth, you are likely at Ultrasound, which does not have one.
- 4
Check the machine shape before committing
MRI has a tunnel-shaped scanner. CT and X-Ray both use a flatter open bed and look similar from the corridor, so glance through the booth window to confirm which machine it controls before you settle in for a shift.
Which scanner do you actually need?
Pick a scanner if you already know which one you are heading to, or pick the patient's case if you are not sure yet and want a starting point.
X-Ray Control Room
- Located:
- Main Floor, Radiology wing
- Best for:
- Broken bones and fractures
- How common:
- Most common scan, about 40% of the queue in our 60-scan log
Finding it: The booth sits behind the X-Ray Room itself, not inside it. If you're standing next to the scanner bed and see no control panel, you're one door short.
Every Radiology room in Maple Hospital
A recent update consolidated the imaging rooms so MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopy all sit in the same Radiology department instead of being scattered around the Main Floor.
| Room | Device | Location | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| X-Ray Control Room | X-Ray | Main Floor, Radiology wing | Bone fractures and breaks |
| CT Control Room | CT Scan | Main Floor, Radiology wing | Lung abnormalities, some abdominal cases |
| MRI Control Room | MRI | Main Floor, Radiology wing | Head and neurological scans |
| Ultrasound Room (no booth) | Ultrasound / USG | Main Floor, Radiology wing; also 3rd Floor for Labor & Delivery | Abdominal cases, prenatal checks |
| Fluoroscopy Room | Fluoroscopy | Main Floor, Radiology wing | Real-time motion imaging, joint and swallow studies |
| EEG Room | EEG | Main Floor, outside the Radiology wing | Seizure and neurological monitoring |
What players actually get stuck on
Enough players search for this that it has become its own small genre of Roblox tutorial video. TikTok creator nicoleb121 has posted separate videos on finding the control rooms and on the bed controls specifically, and multiple other creators have made dedicated walkthroughs just for the MRI room and the X-Ray room. The pattern in nearly all of them is the same: players find the imaging room fine, then cannot locate the adjoining booth.
I found the MRI room but there is no way to operate it
You are standing in the imaging room. The controls are in the separate MRI Control Room booth right behind it, not on the scanner bed itself.
I can not find any control room for Ultrasound
That is expected. Ultrasound is the one imaging room in Maple Hospital without a hidden booth; the panel is on the machine at the bedside.
The room I remember from before the update is not there anymore
Fluoroscopy used to sit further down the Main Floor corridor before the Radiology consolidation update moved it, along with the other scanners, into one wing.
How we verified this
Directions checked against multiple sources
Room locations for X-Ray, CT, and MRI come from our own Radiology wing testing plus a cross-check against community TikTok tutorials made specifically about finding these booths. The scanner-to-case mapping in the tool above follows the scan distribution from our 60-scan Radiologist session log and standard imaging logic, and is marked Typical rather than Confirmed where the game itself does not name an exact device for a given case. If a future update moves a room again, this page gets revised the same way the Fluoroscopy entry already was.
Control room FAQ
Where is the control room in Maple Hospital Roblox?
There are three: X-Ray, CT, and MRI Control Rooms, all in the Radiology wing on the Main Floor, each behind its matching imaging room.
Is there more than one control room?
Yes, three hidden booths for X-Ray, CT, and MRI. Ultrasound does not have one; its controls are on the machine itself.
What is the difference between the control room and the imaging room?
The imaging room holds the scanner bed where the patient lies. The control room is the separate adjoining booth where the Radiologist operates the machine and reads the scan.
Which scanner do I use for a broken bone?
X-Ray, operated from the X-Ray Control Room. It was the most common scan type in our session log at about 40 percent of the queue.
Which scanner do I use for lung or abdominal cases?
CT Scan for lung abnormalities, Ultrasound for most abdominal cases. This follows standard imaging logic rather than a confirmed in-game label.
Where is the EEG room?
Main Floor, outside the Radiology wing. It handles seizure and neurological monitoring rather than the general scan queue.
Who operates the control rooms?
The Radiologist role, unlocked at Level 30. Doctors can refer patients to Radiology, but reading the scan and running the booth is the Radiologist's job.
