4 rules that doubled my XP rate in Maple Hospital
Never idle
Idle time gives exactly zero XP in Maple Hospital. This is different from games where your role passively earns something. In Maple Hospital, every XP point comes from completing a patient event. Standing in the ward between patients gives nothing.

Target Status patients first
When a Patient sets a condition via the Status tab (e.g., Respiratory distress, Fracture, Pregnancy), treating them gives higher XP than ambient patients. Check the Status tab icon in the top UI whenever you walk into a ward.

Use Pediatric ward from Level 15
The Pediatric ward (Nurse Level 15 unlock) has lower medical staff competition than the main ward. In busy servers, the main ward has 3-5 nurses competing for the same patients — the Pediatric ward typically has 0-1 other nurses.
📊 Impact: I measured ~22% higher personal XP per 15 minutes in Pediatric ward vs main ward during peak hours.
Play in medium-population servers (5-8 players)
Low-pop servers (1-3 players) have fewer patients spawning. High-pop servers (12+ players) have high treatment competition. Medium-pop servers balance patient density and staff competition best for solo XP grinding.
📊 Impact: Best results in my testing: 6-8 player servers. The difference vs low-pop was roughly 25% more XP per hour.

How We Collected XP Data
All XP per minute figures come from manual stopwatch timing across 40+ sessions in Maple Hospital. For each role, I ran 3+ timed 15-minute blocks across low, medium, and high-population servers, recording the XP bar value at start and end. The 800 XP/session baseline used in the milestone table is the median of my Nurse mid-pop readings. Cumulative XP estimates for each level are extrapolated from session data — they are approximations, not official Roblox numbers. Last verified: May 13, 2026.
